There will be signs guiding you to the right area as you approach. The Shepherd's Hut has a dedicated parking spot, with enough space for a mid-sized van, so you can park right next to the hut and unpack what you need with ease.
In colder periods, the woodburner will be stocked with ample firewood, kindling and starter equipment for the duration of your stay. The hut houses a well-equipped small kitchen, with the following provided or available:
All bedding is provided, with plenty of extra blankets for particularly chilly nights (an electric blanket is also available).
Outside is a large decking area with seating, your own unique walk-in spiral shower and a separate compost loo.
The Shepherd's Hut can accommodate 3 people, with the dining area being convertable to a single bed.
Like all toilets on our campsite, the Shepherd Hut's dedicated toilet is compost-based. A sink is provided for hand-washing purposes. The toilet building also houses the hot water heater for the shower!
Our uniquely designed walk-in spiral shower was hand-built using low impact and reclaimed materials, and provides a truly delightful showering experience. The water is heated using electricity from our PV solar panel array, and delivered via a fixed deluge (rainfall) shower head.
In fact, Jono (one of your hosts) has built everything in the Shepherd's Hut and the adjacent campsite, from the reciprocal roof roundhouse to the yew wood light-pulls and towel hooks.
The base price is £85/night for two people, with an additional £10/night charge for an extra person.
Please book direct if you wish to book for three people.
