Larch Pole Roundhouse

with a reciprocal roof

All 50 poles were selected and felled at a friend's woodland about 8 miles away and then hand-stripped by Ruth and Jono to create this unique shelter for the campsite. Over the years we have collected bits of stained glass because of the colourful light and quirky aesthetic these windows can bring, so its been great to finally find a place for them in the walls of the roundhouse.

It has been a pleasure to design and build and we hope you enjoy the space (a useful undercover area for soggy days in Wales!). Inside houses a washing up station for campers and campervaners, a book swapping library and a few board games. In the future it is hoped that workshops can take place here. Already we have had interest in this from the chefs and gardeners next door and friends skilled in everything from Tai Chi to botanical ink drawing. Watch this space!
