Ruth and Jono have lived in the area for more than 25 years. They have have three children and a shiny whippet. Jono was brought up on an organic farm in the wild hills of Wales and has always hankered for a return to the land. So when the opportunity arose to buy a small holding close to their family, friends (and the sea!) they both jumped at the chance to start a new chapter in their lives and fulfil a dream to grow their own food, drink fresh spring water, produce their own power and learn all that the land could teach them.
Together Ruth and Jono hope to share their small holding with those wishing to experience a peaceful pocket of nature and lead as an example of sustainable tourism (with a bit of singing around the fire, too).

Jono's background is very much rooted in the woods as he studied Countryside Management, has been a tree surgeon (when he was younger and fitter!) and now is a carpenter working on both large projects like floating cabins and smaller jobs like the Yew light pulls in the shower block. He has lovingly turned his hand to all the facilities on the campsite and enjoys this kind of building project the most, using locally sourced timber and recycled materials wherever possible. Find him fiddling about in the workshop with a pencil behind his ear.

Ruth's background is in organic food, and she is passionate about food production and resilience in the Dyfi Valley. She shows her love through cooking and is no stranger to a Welsh cake! Aside from vegetables she also plants trees for future generations to enjoy their shade and flowers to make everything beautiful. Find her fiddling about with lavender with leaves in her hair.

is lovely!
